Fans of Drunk History and all its slurred education will fall over laughing at Sh*t-Faced Shakespeare, where an entirely serious Shakespeare play is performed with one entirely inebriated cast member. For the last eight years, Sh*t-Faced Shakespeare has been performed in the darkest corners and diviest bars in the U.K., and the cast is now bringing the good time to Austin. Side-splitting, raucous and completely interactive, this show enjoyed sell-out runs at the Edinburgh and Brighton Fringe festivals, where a cast member drinks beer, wine and whiskey on stage, drunkenly sings the Dawson’s Creek theme song and occasionally (accidentally, of course) bares a nipple or two. Brush up on your Bard knowledge and head over to Spider House for a drunken twist on Romeo and Juliet, because this is Shakespeare as you never knew you wanted to see him before.
Texas’ best illusion drag show features performers taking the stage to sing songs by Cher, Pink, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and more. Get your drag on at the Gotham Room at Spinners in Austin.
