About Break FREE and Dance
Rhythm and Dance Workshop for Kids with Special Needs
The purpose of this workshop is to provide an enjoyable dance experience for kids with special needs. Our goal is that this workshop would enhance your child's ability to learn basic dance and rhythm patterns and encourage them to "break free and dance".
This workshop will be geared for kids ages 7 to 13 years of age.
Class size limited to the 1st 20 participants.
Sessions throughout the workshop will include:
Attire: It is recommended that your child wear clothing that is modest, comfortable, and non-restrictive for active movement. Closed-toe shoes are preferable for safety reasons.
Note: If your child has an assitive device or adaptive aid, please feel free to bring it with you. Examples include: wheelchairs, walkers, splints, earphones, communication devices, etc.
Five minute water breaks will be incorporated several times throughout the workshop. Water will be provided. If your child requires a special snack or beverage you may bring it with you.
Parents will be allowed to stay and observe the class. A row of chairs will be placed toward the back of the venue for parents to sit.

- Rhythm basics
- Creative dance
- Free dance activity
- Dance games
