Oro Restaurant And Bar

Oro Restaurant And Bar

Named among the top five restaurants in Texas by Gourmet Magazine, Biga on the Banks is an award-winning Riverwalk restaurant from the gifted culinary mind of chef Bruce Auden.

The daily-changing menu shows off creative ingredients and bold flavors with dishes like chipotle grilled shrimp salad, sautéed duck breast with shiitake master sauce, and three-onion potato soup with black truffles. This downtown San Antonio restaurant is at once both relaxed and stylish to suit everything from casual lunches to elaborate rehearsal dinners.

ORO is Spanish for gold and this on-site restaurant at Emily Morgan Hotel is just that-dining gold. This fine dining establishment, located directly across the street from the Alamo, offers a Mediterranean inspired menu that is sure to delight.

The ORO bar is a great place to meet before hitting the town-try the award-winning margaritas! Happy hour is from 5 to 7 offering drink specials and complimentary appetizers. A fantastic tapas menu is also available.

ORO is open for breakfast lunch and dinner and room service.

Breakfast is served from 6:30 am to 10:30 am. Try one of the specialties like the Flat Iron Steak and Eggs: 6 oz. steak, two eggs any style and hash browns.

Lunch offers some of Chef Bruns' creative cuisine. Start off with the saffron scented Mediterranean Seafood Stew or Blackened Crab Cakes. There are great entrée salads like the Rare Tuna Nicoise or Sonoma Salad with arugula, strawberries and pistachios. Try a sandwich or build your pasta.

The creative dinner menu offers such delights as a lobster macaroni and cheese appetizer made with mascarpone cheese and entrees ranging from Grilled Sea Bass to a Buffalo Sirloin. End the meal with a delicious dessert. Try the Black Forest Bread pudding or Frozen Strawberry Soufflé.
