Yellow Cab recently sent cabs to Austin for SXSW. Our reviewer rode in an old cab, with worn interior. The brakes were worn down to metal on metal, and made awful noises. The driver tried to roll up the window while he had his arm out the window. Passenger wanted air and asked him to leave it down, but he rolled it up again when he got on the freeway, even though he didn't turn on the AC and it was a hot, stuffy day. Worst part of it was that driver didn't know where the airport was, did an unsafe lane change to get back in the traffic lane at airport exit (nearly hitting the divider), overshot the exit and drove miles out of the way. Passenger asked him to stop the meter so he wouldn't be charged for the drivers mistake. Driver left it running and assured that he would take care of it at airport, which of course he did not. Stayed in cab and didn't help with luggage in trunk.
